This is how I survive Valentine’s Day and Divorce
I’m going to be honest with you. I f*cking hate this time of year.
It’s February. It’s still cold as hell and my car is covered in nasty salt and the bottom is all muddy with chunks of snow hanging off it.
Ugh. And Valentine’s Day is around the corner. So right now, all I’m seeing at CVS when I’m just trying to pick up some fizzy cold medicine and panty-liners is the stuff I hate.
Big-ass hearts stuffed with shitty candy that nobody with a palate really wants.
Highly-flammable made-in-China stuffed teddy bears with devil horns that say “hot stuff” or “ I love you BEARy much
Or….as a new feature in 2021…a weird silky face mask with fushia and bubble-gum pink hearts all over it saying “I love you.” Uh, yeah. Because that’s not an uncomfortable conversation just waiting to happen with my cashier at the grocery story.
But over my years as a divorce coach for professional women (and as someone who went through a painful divorce myself), I’ve actually discovered some bomb-ass ways to make Valentines Day not suck.
So let’s do our Divorcee Valentines Day different this year.
Check your email this week, because I’ll be sharing some of the things I’ve done over the years to have an incredible Valentines Day that you’re going to love.
And want to make this upcoming week really kick some cupid ass?
There’s going to be a Love Yourself challenge on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
And the end of every email, there’s going to be a fun but motivating challenge for you that will get you out of your comfort zone and help you feel more fulfilled….even if you hate the 14th and you’re still feeling hurt after your divorce.
After you complete the challenge on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, send me an email. Everybody who completes the three challenges will be entered into a drawing to win an exclusive prize.
Check your email tomorrow!
XOXO,
Martha
